I am sure, well I can’t be, that you have heard this song before, whether someone sang to you, or if you saw the movie – The Sound of Music, it is something we end up listening to, and singing along, but the song has always had a very deep meaning for me, from a spirituality point of view, and I thought why not share it with you today, in my Prayer.
There are times in life, we are confused, we doubt, ourselves, our destiny and worry, worry a lot, what lies ahead, will I be able to close that deal, where will the money come from, how will I buy that next gadget/car/house whatever I am thinking of buying, why does this happen to me, why is my life not full of rainbows, why isn’t each day better than the last one… This is Human behaviour and there is nothing wrong in it, we all do it, sometimes we do it a lot more, sometimes we let it go, the letting go is what is the important part, the part of giving up – no not on life or on your actions, on giving up on results… work, do your work, do your task, be where you have to be, be with the ones you love, but don’t worry about the outcomes.
All though our life we go in the believe, if I do this, this will happen, if I don’t do this, that will happen, then when something great happens, we say – oh you see, I did that, and that and that and now I am here.. something bad happens, we blame it on destiny, on inaction or some other excuse, but we forget that we are neither the creator, nor the destroyer, we are a piece of a puzzle called life, the matrix, with the only reality being death in it, since we are born, we will die, one day, in the time we area alive we will live, and if we can live, by action and not by reward, life will take another outlook.
The Guru Granth Sahib, has some wonderful lines [ਮੇਰਾ ਮੁਝ ਮਹਿ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਹੀ ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਤੇਰਾ]
Mera Mujh Mein Kich Nahin
Jo Kuch Hai So Tera
Tera Tujhko Saunp De
Kya Lage hai mera
I have nothing in me, nothing is mine, I go through life saying I have done this, I will do this, but the day I give up, I learn that it is all yours, and I have nothing in my hand, I will live my life, my life fully.. after all the future’s not ours to see.. whatever will be will be..
“Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future’s not ours to see
Que sera, sera
What will be, will be”
Remember God loves us all, he has created us equal, it is in our life that we create this myth, that we are who we are because of what we did, which family we were born to, and how we did it, but in reality, it is all a matrix, all run by him / her up there, a mystery that maybe death will solve, but till then, the only other way to solve it – is to respect that there is god in every human that we meet, respect and love that human, that soul, that creation, because he / she is the closest one will be to god.
Please note this is my understanding of the words, from various texts and interactions with people, I am sure this is not accurate, and there can be several meanings, several ways of translating this, but this humbly is my prayer for today
